Flipkart Label Crop for 4x6 Thermal Printers

Flipkart shipping labels are usually downloaded as A4 PDFs, with the label in one area of the page and the tax invoice in another. Cut out the label and print it on a 4x6 (100 × 150 mm) thermal sticker, right in your browser.

Quick answer: To print a Flipkart shipping label on a thermal printer, open the label PDF in LabelFit, make sure the green box covers only the label, and download the 4x6 (100 × 150 mm) PDF. Print it at 100% or Actual size. LabelFit looks for the label automatically, but marketplaces change their label layouts from time to time, so check the first page. If the box is off, drag it once and save the layout.

How to print a Flipkart shipping label on a 4x6 thermal printer

  1. Get the label PDF. Download your Flipkart labels the way you usually do. Keep the PDF as it comes, with the invoice still on the page.
  2. Open it in LabelFit. Choose the file above and set Print on to 100 × 150 mm (or 4 × 6 in if your roll says that).
  3. Look at page 1 first. The green box should hold the label with its barcode and delivery address. The tax invoice should be outside it.
  4. Fix the box once and save it. If the box is wrong, drag it or its corners, name it, and press Save layout. Every page in the file now uses it.
  5. Print one test, then the batch. Download the PDF, print one label at 100%, scan the barcode with your phone, and then print the rest.

What a Flipkart label download usually contains

Expect an A4 page for each order. The label part carries the courier name, a barcode with the tracking or AWB number, the delivery address and the seller's return address. The tax invoice sits in another part of the same page, with a table of items, tax and a total. Where exactly each block sits depends on the courier and on the day, because marketplaces update their label designs from time to time. LabelFit does not rely on a fixed Flipkart layout, which is why the first page deserves a look.

That A4 page is why a Flipkart label 4x6 print goes wrong. A 4x6 roll cannot take A4 paper, and scaling the page down to fit makes everything about 48% of its size. Cropping first fixes it: only the label is kept, then fitted to the 4x6 page.

Check the first page before you print a batch

LabelFit finds the label by looking for barcodes, address blocks and borders, and it recognises words such as “Tax invoice” and “Qty” as invoice text. On our sample files, which have a shipping label above a tax invoice, it picked the right block. We have not tested it on live Flipkart downloads, so this is a habit to keep, not a guarantee.

Here is a case where auto-detect gets it wrong. In one of our sample files the invoice started only about 2 mm under the label border. LabelFit then drew one tall box around both, and the preview warned that the label would print at a small percentage of its size. The fix took two drags: pull the top-left corner and the bottom-right corner of the box onto the label. After Save layout, the box was applied to all three pages, and the 4x6 output contained only the label.

Watch for these signs on the first page:

  • The box reaches down into the invoice table.
  • A warning reads “Something runs off the … edge of the box”.
  • The thumbnail strip shows “No label” for a page that has one.
  • The scale under the preview is far below 90%.

Saved layouts: set up once, reuse every day

Once the box is right, give it a clear name, for example Flipkart A4 label, and press Save layout. Next time, pick it under Label from in My saved layouts and add your PDFs. Every page uses the saved box, so there is nothing to drag.

If Flipkart changes the design, or one courier uses a different page, the old layout may cut the new label in the wrong place. Do not delete it. Fix the box again for the new design and save it under another name, so you can pick the right one for each file.

Layouts are kept in your browser on one device. To use them on a second computer, or to hand them to a packing helper, press Export layouts to download a small file and Import layouts to load it elsewhere. Clearing your browser's site data removes saved layouts, so keep the exported file.

Flipkart shipping label print settings for a thermal printer

SettingWhat to choose
Paper size4 × 6 in or 100 × 150 mm, matching the roll
ScaleActual size in Acrobat; Default or 100 in the Chrome or Edge dialog
MarginsNone or Default. The PDF already has a small margin of its own
OrientationPortrait
DarknessPrinter default first. Raise one step if the bars look pale
RollDirect thermal labels print on one side only. If the page comes out blank, flip the roll

The Open to print button opens the finished PDF in a new tab so you can print straight from the browser viewer. Expect a small difference in size: with the default Fit the label to the page setting, our 100 × 150 mm sample labels printed at about 94–98% because LabelFit leaves a 2 mm margin. The percentage is shown under the preview.

Label only, or label and invoice?

More detail is in the guide to splitting a label and packing slip. A kept invoice gets a small “Made with LabelFit” line under it. Labels are never marked.

A busy day with many orders

Drop in a multi-page PDF, or several PDFs together. Each label becomes one 4x6 page, in page order, in a single download. Use the thumbnails above the page to jump to any page and the arrows under the preview to flip through the result. Pages with no label can be skipped. Sheets with two or four labels give one output page per label, and a label that sits sideways on the sheet is turned upright, though you can use Rotate if it picks the wrong way. For a Bluetooth printer, switch to Image and see printing labels from your phone.

Privacy for your customers' addresses

The file never leaves your device. LabelFit reads it and writes the new PDF in the browser tab, with no account and no upload. The converted PDF keeps the rest of the original page hidden, not deleted, so if you send the result to someone else, choose Image output.

Frequently asked questions

Does LabelFit detect Flipkart labels automatically?

LabelFit looks for the label automatically, using barcodes, address lines and borders. It has no special support for Flipkart, and marketplaces change their label layouts from time to time, so check the first page. If the box is off, drag it once and save the layout.

Which thermal label size should I use for a Flipkart label?

For a Flipkart label, 4x6 (100 × 150 mm) is the common thermal label size in India. Use whatever is printed on your roll, and set the same paper size in your printer.

Do I need to crop the label again for every file?

No. After you press Save layout, pick that layout under Label from. It is applied to every page of every file with the same design.

What if Flipkart changes the label design?

The old layout may then miss the label. Fix the box on the new design and save it under a new name. Keep the old one for older PDFs.

Can I print a Flipkart label from my phone?

Yes. Choose Image output, pick 203 dpi for most printers, and share the image to your printer's app. The phone printing guide has the steps.

Is my customers' data uploaded?

No. Everything happens in your browser. Names, phone numbers and addresses on the label never leave your device.
